The Chrysalis Café is open to both guests at The Bug Parc and the general public for breakfast, lunch, and teas, coffees and cakes.
We offer quality, locally sourced food at great prices, with plenty of choice for both vegetarians and vegans.
During busy periods, such as weekends and school holidays, we politely request that only food purchased on-site is consumed in the Café.
The Chrysalis Café is named after the pupal phase between caterpillar and butterfly.
The walls showcase some of the most beautiful (and odd-looking) of these creatures in all their colourful guises with macro photos generously donated by photographers from around the world.
Smaller and mini portions are available for our younger visitors, as well as a fun pic-n-mix selection of fruit, snacks and sandwiches in a themed eco-friendly box.
Baby changing facilities and high chairs are all available at the Café.
Ronaldo luxury ice creams, including dairy free options, which are made here in Norfolk, are available as scoops in the gift shop or as tubs in the Café.
A selection of teas, coffees and soft drinks are available, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic bottled beers and ciders.
If given notice, we will happily cater for any of our visitors’ dietary needs, including dishes free from any of the 14 main allergen groups.
We pride ourselves on our 5 star food hygiene rating. Cleanliness and attention to detail are as important to us as creating great tasting food.
Our impact on this planet is important to us. When we can, we only use eco-friendly packaging and we keep the food miles low by using local East Anglian producers wherever possible.
The Chrysalis Café is a wheelchair friendly Café, with easy access to all the indoor and outdoor areas of the Parc, including accessible toilets.
